Competent Person: Fall Protection (Construction)

1 Lesson

Learn what OSHA's construction fall protection rules require and what a competent person looks for in the field: the 6-foot rule, guardrails, covers, nets, personal fall arrest systems, roof work, fall protection plans and crew training.

This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M and 1926.32(f). It is not an OSHA card or license, and completing it does not by itself make anyone a competent person. Employers must provide any required site-specific training and evaluation, and they decide who has the authority to act as a competent person on their sites.
