What this certificate covers
This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1045. It is not an OSHA card or license, and it does not by itself meet the training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1045(o). Your employer must still train each employee exposed to AN above the action level, each employee whose exposures are maintained below the action level by engineering and work practice controls, and each employee subject to potential skin or eye contact with liquid AN, at the time of initial assignment (or upon institution of the training program) and at least annually thereafter. Your employer must also make sure you are informed of the information in appendixes A and B; the quantity, location, manner of use, release, or storage of AN and the specific nature of operations which could result in exposure to AN, as well as any necessary protective steps; the purpose, proper use, and limitations of respirators and protective clothing; the purpose and a description of the medical surveillance program; the emergency procedures developed under paragraph (i); engineering and work practice controls, their function, and your relationship to these controls; and a review of the standard.
