How these numbers are calculated
Totals cover every inspection that matches your filters. Open cases have no close date in the OSHA record. Violations and penalties are summed from the individual citations OSHA has issued; deleted citations are excluded.
Current penalty reflects settlements and reductions recorded by OSHA; initial penalty is what OSHA first proposed. Inspections with no citations show zero, which can also mean citations have not been issued yet.
