1910.1200(b)(4): HazCom for Sealed Containers

By Black Belt Safety Editorial Team Official text as of octubre 15, 2026 Data updated noviembre 5, 2026 4 min read

In plain words:

Where workers only handle chemicals in sealed containers that are not opened in normal use, such as in warehousing or retail, employers must keep labels on incoming containers intact and keep safety data sheets that arrive with shipments. They must get a missing safety data sheet as soon as possible if a worker asks, keep sheets accessible each shift, and train workers enough to protect them during a spill or leak.
