Cadmium Safety in Construction

1 Lesson

For construction workers and supervisors who may be exposed to cadmium: where it is found, the PEL and action level, exposure monitoring, regulated areas, controls, respirators and protective clothing, hygiene and housekeeping, medical surveillance and training.

This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1127. It is not an OSHA card or license and does not make anyone a competent person under the cadmium standard; the employer designates competent persons. Employers must provide the training required by 29 CFR 1926.1127(m)(4), including site-specific information on cadmium in their workplace, and must provide medical surveillance where the standard requires it.
