By Black Belt Safety Editorial Team Official text as of octubre 15, 2026 Data updated octubre 20, 2026 4 min read

In plain words:

Employers must train workers doing Class II asbestos work with roofing, flooring, siding, ceiling tiles or transite panels in the elements of paragraph (k)(9)(viii) plus the work practices and engineering controls for that material, with hands-on training lasting at least 8 hours. Workers handling more than one category need training for each material and removal method, and other Class II work needs similar training with hands-on practice.
