1926.701: Concrete and Masonry General Requirements

By Black Belt Safety Editorial Team Official text as of October 15, 2026 Data updated November 6, 2026 3 min read

In plain words:

Employers must not place construction loads on concrete structures unless a person qualified in structural design confirms they can hold them. Protruding rebar that workers could fall onto must be guarded against impalement, access behind post-tensioning jacks is limited, no one may ride concrete buckets or work under them while raised or lowered, and workers applying pneumatic cement mix need head and face protection.
