Personal Protective Equipment in Construction for Workers
For construction workers: who provides and pays for PPE, and how to choose, check and wear hard hats, eye and face protection, hearing protection and life jackets the way Subpart E requires.
This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1926.95, 1926.100, 1926.101, 1926.102 and 1926.106. It is not an OSHA card or license. These sections contain no training requirement of their own, and this course does not cover 1926.96, 1926.97, 1926.103, 1926.104 or 1926.105. Your employer must still provide the protective equipment these sections require, ensure that all personal protective equipment is of safe design and construction for the work to be performed and is selected to ensure that it properly fits each affected employee (1926.95(c)), ensure that you use appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards (1926.102(a)(1)), and have ear protective devices inserted in the ear fitted or determined individually by competent persons (1926.101(b)).
