This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1044. It is not an OSHA card or license, and it does not by itself meet the training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1044(n). Your employer must still train each employee who may be exposed to DBCP, institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program, and assure that each employee is informed of the information contained in appendix A; the quantity, location, manner of use, release or storage of DBCP and the specific nature of operations which could result in exposure to DBCP as well as any necessary protective steps; the purpose, proper use, and limitations of respirators; the purpose and description of the medical surveillance program required by paragraph (m); and a review of the standard, including appendices.
