DOT Hazmat Marking and Labeling for Shippers
Lección 1

For shipping and receiving employees who prepare hazmat packages: put the required markings on non-bulk packages, choose and place the right hazard labels, and avoid prohibited markings and labels.

What this certificate covers

This certificate records completion of awareness training based on 49 CFR 172.300, 172.301, 172.303, 172.304, 172.312, 172.324, 172.400, 172.401, 172.402, 172.404, 172.406 and 172.407. It is not an OSHA or DOT card or license, and it does not by itself meet the hazmat employee training requirements of 49 CFR 172.702 and 172.704. Your hazmat employer must still ensure that each hazmat employee is trained and tested on the subjects in 172.704; provide general awareness/familiarization, function-specific, safety and security awareness training (and in-depth security training where 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart I requires a security plan); provide the training at least once every three years; and create and retain a record of current training for each hazmat employee that includes certification that the employee has been trained and tested.
