Emergency Action and Fire Prevention Plan Administrator
Lección 1

Learn what an emergency action plan and a fire prevention plan must contain, where they must be kept, when they must be reviewed with employees, and what the employer must do about the alarm system and evacuation assistants.

What this certificate covers

This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1910.38 and 1910.39. It is not an OSHA card or license, and it does not by itself meet the training and review requirements of 29 CFR 1910.38(e), 1910.38(f) and 1910.39(d). Your employer must still designate and train employees to assist in a safe and orderly evacuation of other employees, review the emergency action plan with each employee covered by the plan, inform employees upon initial assignment to a job of the fire hazards to which they are exposed, and review with each employee those parts of the fire prevention plan necessary for self-protection.

What you will learn

  • Write an emergency action plan with each minimum element in it
  • Decide where the plan is kept and how it is shared
  • Know when the plan must be reviewed with each employee
  • Cover the alarm system and the designation and training of evacuation assistants
  • Write a fire prevention plan with each required element and inform employees of fire hazards

What you get

  • About 20 minutes, on your phone or computer, read out loud as you go
  • Real photos, not cartoons
  • A hands-on drill: you make the calls, step by step, and see what happens
  • 4 quick checks along the way, then a final quiz
  • A certificate with a QR code your employer can check online
  • A wallet card you can print and carry
  • A printable study guide (PDF)
