Learn when residential construction work needs fall protection, what guardrails, nets and personal fall arrest systems must do, and how the fall protection plan exception works.
What this certificate covers
This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1926.501 and 1926.502. It is not an OSHA card or license, and it does not by itself meet the training requirements of 29 CFR 1926.503. Your employer must still provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards that enables them to recognize the hazards of falling and trains them in the procedures to minimize those hazards, assure each employee has been trained, as necessary, by a competent person qualified in the areas listed in 1926.503(a)(2), keep a written certification record of that training, and retrain when 1926.503(c) requires it.
