For equipment operators, truck drivers and spotters on construction sites: blocking raised equipment, parking, power line clearances, shift vehicle checks, backup alarms or observers, seat belts, dump truck safety, earthmoving equipment alarms and haul roads, and industrial truck basics.
What this certificate covers
This certificate records completion of awareness training based on OSHA 29 CFR 1926.600, 1926.601 and 1926.602. It is not an OSHA card or license, it is not a commercial driver license, and it does not qualify anyone to operate equipment or vehicles. Sections 1926.600 and 1926.601 and paragraphs (a) through (c) of 1926.602 have no training paragraph of their own. For powered industrial trucks, this certificate does not by itself meet the operator training requirements of 29 CFR 1926.602(d), which are identical to 29 CFR 1910.178(l); your employer must still provide the operator training and the evaluation of each operator's performance that 1910.178(l) requires.
